| In 1913 Tim Murphy purchased the old sawmill that once had been used to provide the hickory needed for the tanning process in the old tannery. When Tim passed in 1925 his son Jim took over the management of Murphy Lumber and expanded it into a retail lumber and building supply store. When George Van Voorhis purchsed the store in 1965, he expanded to include a complete line or builders supplies. Today, T. C. Murphy is run by George's son Rudd and includes everything you need to build your home. | ||||||
